The Eighth National Development Plan (8NDP) outlines the priority areas, by programmes, for implementing development in Zambia through key strategies and programs based on the Four Strategic Development Areas namely: (1) Economic Transformation and Job Creation; (2); Human and Social Development; (3) Environmental Sustainability; and (4) Good Governance Environment. The Plan is anchored under the theme, ‘socio-economic transformation for improved livelihoods.’ It is a five-year plan, 2022-2026 and is tailored towards contributing to the achievement of the Vision 2030 and is aligned with the regional, continental and global development commitment for the country.
