Description

Children in Zambia continue to experience high levels of violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation, including harmful practices such as child marriage and female genital mutilation. Preventing and responding to these issues requires a strong social services workforce to form the backbone of the child protection system. Currently, this is not the case in Zambia – the social service workforce is under-capacitated, and unable to meet the demand for child protection services.
